Before the launch of Miskissbeauty in 2019, I was praying about the business and I heard audibly “support maternal women in Ghana.” I didn’t  know how I was going to but I knew I had to do some research and put somethings in place. While completing my masters, my thesis focused on infant and maternal mortality amongst minority women.  I knew it was not a coincidence. Mothers and infants are near and dear to my heart. After extensive research, I am excited to announce that Miskissbeauty will be collaborating with Boame Hands Foundation where a percentage of our proceeds will support maternal women and children in Ghana.

Boame Hands Foundation (BHF), is a non profit organization in the USA founded by Apostle Dominic and First Lady Lesley Osei. Together with their team, BHF has purchased clothes, school supplies and sanitary pads for caring Hands Children’s Center (a children/youth center) in Ghana, West Africa. In the past years, BHF donated half a dozen hospital beds and over the counter medication to aid efforts at the Accra Psychiatric Center and within the Geriatric Center. These populations are typically neglected and abandoned leading to high mortality rates. Between now and 2021, Boame Hands Foundation is preparing to launch an annual medical mission to Ghana. Medical professionals (doctors, pharmacists, nurses) will voluntarily perform standard medical exams as well as provide medications needed in underprivileged communities.

Miskissbeauty is excited to join forces with BHF, together we will help more women and children in Ghana, West Africa. One of many MKB projects is to put young adults through school in 2021. Every purchase of MKB counts to help a mother and child in need. No woman left behind. Be on the look out for more information regarding this project!
